TRAVIS FRANCE

Travis is our “South Holston Specialist”. It is only appropriate since he has been fishing the river for 20 years and tying flies for the South Holston for over 25 years. He has an obsession for watching his clients catch large brown trout. After a trip down one of our tailwaters with Travis in his Hyde drift boat you will see that he is not only a master angler, but a master guide.

BIG JON ANDERSON

Jonathan Anderson grew up on the banks of Spring Creek in Hot Springs North Carolina, a stone’s throw from the French Broad River. If you’ve been in his boat you refer to him as Big Jon and you probably refer to him as a friend. He has guided expedition trips in North Carolina, Tennesse, Alaska, Chile, and Montana.

JOHN MONROE

John is one of the more renowned guides on the South Holston and Watauga Rivers. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 1993 he focused strictly on a career in fly fishing. John is a dry fly purist- hints his nickname “head hunter”. When he is not putting his loyal following of clients on large brown trout he can be found hosting fishing trips to various world-class destinations such as Andros Island in the Bahamas or Henry’s Fork of the Snake in Idaho.
